Will Brink's Unified Theory of Nutrition

Monday October 10, 2005
One of the most popular questions in the world of bodybuilding nutrition is how can one lose fat without losing muscle. Many experts attempt to answer that simple question with various solutions that often seem conflicting. For instance, some experts argue that a calorie is a calorie and therefore, all you have to do is create a slight caloric deficit and that will cause you to lose fat. Other experts argue that all you need to do is watch the type of nutrients that you put into yourself and the ratios in which you do so. For instance, there are 60% Carb, 30% Protein, 10% Fats diet programs as well as 40/40/20 (carb, proteins, fats) programs and even 60/35/5 (fats, proteins, carb) programs.

In this article, bodybuilding and nutrition guru Will Brink, brings you his views on bodybuilding nutrition regarding the battle of whether one should just worry about calories when trying to lose fat or instead focus on macronutrient (carbs, proteins and fats) intake. Once you go through this article, you will have a much better understanding of how to create a diet that helps you lose fat while keeping the muscle that you have worked so hard to attain.
