Bodybuilding Pre-Contest Carbohydrate Depletion Training

Thursday November 2, 2006
Many bodybuilding competitors out there wonder if there is anything that needs to change regarding their bodybuilding training prior to a competition. I always advise that they keep training as heavy as possible with good form and periodizing the workouts as advised in my pre-contest workout routine.

However, on the last week prior to the show, one needs to change the training routine in order to support the carb depletion endeavors that happen from Friday until Wednesday noon. The better one depletes the body of carbohydrates, the better it will then respond to the carbo loading period that happens from Wednesday noon until Saturday.

In this article, you will be able to take a look at my Bodybuilding Pre-Contest Carbohydrate Depletion Training which is designed to support the carbohydrate depletion effort.
