Oatmeal: The Perfect Carbohydrate For A Fat Loss Bodybuilding Diet

This morning someone asked me which one, in my opinion, is the best carbohydrate to consume for a bodybuilding diet that focuses on fat loss. I feel that the best one by far is oatmeal. There are a few reasons for this. Oatmeal is:
There are many ways in which oatmeal can be prepared. In my Anabolic Oatmeal article I cover some of the ways in which I prepare mine. The fact that oatmeal is a healthy food does not mean that it needs to taste boring and bland.
- Portable and easy to prepare.
- Low in the glycemic index, which means that it yields sustained energy as it is released slowly, and it also does not spike insulin levels, thus making it an excellent carbohydrate for dieting and fat loss.
- High in fiber, which is good for the lowering of cholesterol levels and also helps to suppress the appetite.
- Source of healthy fats, such as GLA, which have many properties that enhance your health.

How does Cream of Wheat fair verus Oatmeal? Are they similar in structure? Do they do the same things? I have become a huge fan of Cream of Wheat as well as Oat bran.
Cream of wheat is highly processed, stripped of all nutritional value including fiber and is far higher on the glycemic index than oatmeal.
