Christmas Night Bodybuilding Diet Advice And The Christmas Day Workout
Sunday December 24, 2006
Hopefully, so far most of you have survived the Holidays and kept your bodybuilding programs as intact as possible. Today, have fun with your family and loved ones, and if you are going to have a cheat meal tonight, remember the guidelines for doing so. Tomorrow morning, include some cardiovascular activity to burn off some of the extra glycogen (stored carbohydrates) that will result from tonight's overfeeding. Thirty minutes should suffice if the overfeeding turns out to be light; fourty-five minutes otherwise.
"What am I doing tomorrow to help the bodybuilding cause?", you may ask. Me and my wife plan to walk as soon as we get up. It will only take 30 minutes of our time and we'll feel energized the rest of our day. Our son will tag along too by riding his bike. Since I have a gym at home, we'll workout our legs, as they are every Monday, except that the workout will be performed around 10:30 am as opposed to 5:30am (I'm predicting we'll get up around 8:30 am). However, I will use my Abbreviated Leg Routine so that we can be in and out of the gym and thus spend the rest of the day with our son enjoying Christmas.
Happy holidays and don't feel too bad if your diet tonight is less than optimal.
