Bodybuilding FAQ: What is a Good Bodybuilding Routine to Just Tone and Lose Some Fat?

Wednesday July 30, 2008
Can you use bodybuilding principles if you simply want to tone your body and lose some fat? When people hear the word bodybuilding, immediately they think of huge muscles and ultra low levels of body fat. However, to me, bodybuilding is an activity that uses weight training, cardiovascular exercise and nutrition to accomplish specific fitness goals. How far you take your physique development or whether you ever get to compete or not are entirely up to you.

In this week's Bodybuilding FAQ: What is a Good Bodybuilding Routine to Just Tone and Lose Some Fat?, learn how to use supersets and bodybuilding principles in order to lose fat and gain muscle tone by adding a moderate amount of muscle tissue to the body.

Hey Hugo,

Your articles are always straight to the point. I plan to implement this as quick change to my current exercise regime…but I’m curious. Is it possible to do this AND cardio afterwards on the same day?

Anyway, keep up the great work!

Hello Angel,

Thank you so much for the compliments! I am glad that you find the articles so useful.

By all means feel free to perform your cardiovascular workouts right after the weight training on the same day.

Best!

Can doing cardio first, on the same day can impede optimum muscle development?
