Bodybuilding FAQ - Women's Bodybuilding and Fitness FAQ

Friday October 31, 2008
Even though in this day and age we have more access to information than ever, there are certain topics where misinformation is still rampant. Women's bodybuilding and fitness is certainly one of those topics. To this day, some people are advocating mainly cardiovascular exercise for women who are looking to get in shape, instead of bodybuilding exercise, as supposedly, bodybuilding is only for those looking to "get bulked up".

To practice bodybuilding is to follow a lifestyle that uses weight training, cardiovascular exercise and nutrition to re-shape your physique through the increase of lean muscle mass and reduction of fat stores. How much muscle you want to gain is entirely up to you. And in the case of women, getting too big by accident is just not a possibility as women do not produce the amount of testosterone needed to achieve overly developed muscles.

In this week's Bodybuilding FAQ - Women's Bodybuilding and Fitness FAQ, myths like the one above are discussed as well as topics like the differences in a woman's training program, the biggest mistake that women make when they decide to lose weight, what a good diet program looks like and the importance of supplementation.

This is such a common misconception with women, A lot of femmes think that if you only touch the iron you wake up like a Russian javelin thrower the next day. If only it was as easy as they think to build a muscular body, it takes months and years of hard training, good nutrition and dedication.
Thanks for a fantastic site.
