Bodybuilding Exercise of the Week: How to Perform Barbell Squats to Target the Quadriceps
Monday December 1, 2008
This month I will discuss several bodybuilding exercises that target the quadriceps muscles (the muscles on the front side of the legs). The first bodybuilding exercise that I will cover is the Barbell Squats.
The squat is the king of lower body exercises. A properly executed squat is not only safe (opposed to what some people claim) but also involves all lower body muscles in addition to upper body ones as well. In order to have well developed legs, Barbell Squats are a must!
In this week's Bodybuilding Exercise Description you will learn how to perform the Barbell Squats properly so that you can place maximum emphasis on the Quadriceps while protecting yourself from common injuries caused by improper form.
