In this bodybuilding contest preparation posing guide you will learn how to do the front relaxed pose.
Difficulty: Average
Time Required: 30 seconds
Here's How:
- Start by placing your heels together with the feet pointing 45 degrees towards the outside (duck stance).
- Bend at the knees slightly and contract the thigh muscles in order to bring the thigh definition to show.
- Bring in the stomach muscles and bring your chest up as you contract the lats and then the arms. Keep the arms by your side.
- Keep the face up and breathe through the nose. It is necessary that you keep all of the muscles contracted as you breathe through the nose.
- Hold the pose for 30 seconds for practice purposes. In the contest, you will keep this pose until the judges advise to do a quarter turn to the right. When that happens, the next pose will be the side relaxed pose (left part of your body facing the audience).
Tips:
- Don't place the arms excessively to the sides.
- It is normal that at first your muscles tremble but with practice you learn how to keep everything still.
- Remember to smile even when you practice. A nice smile gives you a wonderful stage precense!
