Can you please tell us how long you have been training and give us a rundown of your training routine and how it may differ from a guy's training?

I've been training now for 6 years and competing for 1. As far as my training, being a female, I must workout my lower body twice a week. I try and lift upper body 3-4 days a week focusing on my chest, back, and shoulders. My arms actually grow very quickly so I hardly train them.

Cardio is done at least 5 days a week for about 30-45 mins. Abs are done 3 days a week, generally without any weight. I change my routine often, but my recent split looks like this:

Mon-Quads/Glutes

Tues-Back/Shoulders/Calves

Wed-Cardio

Thurs-Chest/Triceps

Fri-Hamstrings/Glutes

Sat-Shoulders/Biceps/Calves

Sun-Light Cardio or Rest

Interesting. Not too different than my own split. I also like to train legs twice a week to focus on just the front quads one day and the hamstrings another day. Those muscles are just too large to train together after you get to a very advanced stage. How about your diet plan?

Carb cycling has done wonders for my body. I keep my carbs at a moderate amount even on my higher days, but I make sure to take in enough EFA' s in order to make up for the lack of carbs. My protein intake is usually around 1.5g/lb of lean mass. Carbs on a low day are at 0.5g/lb of lean mass, on a medium day at 0.88g/lb and on a high day around 1.2g/lb. Typically I do low, medium, high, and repeat until Saturday. Sunday is a low day as I either just do cardio or take a rest day. For EFAs, I keep them usually at 0.3g/lb and get them either from nuts or flax oil.

Now, I hear that you eat tons of veggies

Yes, I think vegetables are essential! They do not get absorbed by the body so they are sort of like free food. The beauty of it is that it takes the body more calories to process them than what they provide calorically. So for instance, you may eat 60 calories from vegetables but burn 70 in digesting them. In addition, they also optimize nutrient utilization due to the fact that they clean up your intestines.

I agree with everything! That is how I eat these days. So many bodybuilders are just so uneducated about the importance of the veggies. Glad you explained why they are important. Now, I'm sure that alot of women are dying to know if you take anything special to look that great!

Not really other than the time "I take" in the weightroom! Seriously though, I am very light on supplementation. All I take is a Multi-vitamin, Optimum Nutrition's Chocolate Mint Whey Protein and Flaxseed Oil.

Well, that's impressive! You have your basics covered. I guess I'm not too bad either compared to most but I do take a fat burner, creatine, glutamine, and nitrobolic extreme on top of what you take. Oh, and my testosterone boosters as well, of course. you gotta remember, I'm an old man!

Yeah right! LOL. You're only getting better.

You're too sweet.
