Here is the continuation of
Tony Little's Bodybuilding Interview, Part II.
Hugo: Tony shifting gears, you are an incredibly looking 53-year old guy. Now lets talk about your current
training and
nutrition because Im certain that a lot of baby boomers would love to know what you are doing for that.
Tony: You know, a lot hasnt changed. I am still using split routines. The difference is, I incorporate more
cardio -- at least 25 to 30 minutes of cardio in the morning and one body part. And then I come back at around 3:00 pm in the afternoon and do another 25 or 30 minutes of cardio and one body part.
Hugo: Great. What about your weight training?
Tony: And my weight training -- Im not doing as much as I used to but I am doing more quality work; less sets
but more focus. I am also eating right, obviously. I still say what Ive been saying for years, Im definitely not Jack Lalanne -- and he is a great friend of mine. But I am not Jack. Five days of the week my body is a temple and two days a week its an amusement center and thats the way I live my life!
Hugo: I love it! [laughs]
Tony: Ive always told Jack I couldnt pull one boat behind me; Id drown.
Hugo: You and I both, I cannot even float, Id sink to the bottom.
Tony: I can relate.
Hugo: Oh my goodness, God bless that man; hes amazing!
Tony: Yeah, hes funny when he comes into the shopping channel and hes working. Hell call over to my green room, if Im there, and say Hey whats going on! Can I come over? Hes a cool guy
just the coolest guy.
Hugo: Hes very humble and down to earth. I love that.
Tony: Definitely.
Hugo: As a final question Tony, is there any advice that you would like to go ahead and share for anyone out there whos looking to make it in this industry.
Tony: Making it in this industry?
Hugo: Yep.
Tony: Dont ever take no for an answer and try every option.
Hugo: Awesome advice in my opinion!
Tony: Even back when I started in this industry, I took a hell of a lot of no's.
Hugo: I know.
Tony: But I dont take quite as many now. Its just one of those things. You obviously try to identify a product that has a large, not short, demographic appeal. Make it simple and present it.
