However, if you are short on time, as many busy bodybuilders are, then it is of utmost importance that you choose the most effective ones in order to get the most stimulation from the time invested.

Thanks to a study performed by the American Council of Exercise (ACE) conducted at the San Diego State University comparing the effectiveness of several abdominal movements, what my personal experience at the gym has taught me was proven scientifically at the lab.

In my latest bodybuilding FAQ, I reveal what is the best bodybuilding exercise for abdominals and provide recommendations on how to incorporate these findings into a abdominals routine that any busy bodybuider can follow.

Bicycle crunch? I’m going to have to say crunch…

Sure, unweighted maybe it wins, but it’s a lot more straightforward to add a plate for resistance to a crunch, how exactly (where do you hold it?) do you microload a bicycle crunch?

It’s also not a single movement, and not very straightforward. The crunch itself is nice and linear, and I’m betting people can handle more weight. This makes microloading easier.
